AREAS OF MINISTRY 

 

 

 

OT works with faith-based organizations by: administrating for the Blue Water Area Churches ministerial association, planning collaborative services and outreaches, serving on committees, sponsoring pastor weekly prayer meetings, and planning seminars. OT also maintains a current database of churches and ministers, and welcomes new ministers to the Blue Water Area. OT works with organizations to represent the faith-based community and perspective. OT supports and seeks to build relationships with community and civic leaders. OT also looks for ways to benefit the are through community service projects.. Some areas OT has assisted with include: mentoring those recovering from addiction and those coming out of incarceration, health, hunger, blight, foster care, and homelessness.

OT has developed a division called COMPASS Christian Business Alliance. COMPASS Christian Business Alliance endeavors to EQUIP, ENCOURAGE, and CONNECT Christians in Southeast Michigan who are called to the marketplace. Compass currently operates in St. Clair, Macomb & Wayne counties. Anyone in the marketplace is welcome to attend monthly lunch meetings. Learn more at www.michigancompass.org.

OT has helped launch 20+ (and growing) faith-based small groups all over the Blue Water Area. Each group meets in a public setting, with the overarching goal to foster open dialogue about faith, life, and God. These groups are free, oen to the public, and a new and innovative way for the church to meet the community where they are at. Learn more at here.

OT is a liaison for communication and information between faith-based, civic, business groups and individuals. This is accomplished using social media, internet TV, radio, video, direct mail, email, texting, and speaking engagements.
